Documentation and dissemination of the history of Denmark in Greenland and the Arctic

100 years anniversary of the 5th Thule Expedition

Knud Rasmussen's largest expedition went from Greenland to the Pacific Ocean and proved that people in the Arctic were connected linguistically and culturally and by coherent prehistory. Today we can rejoice that the expedition collected an important cultural heritage about life across the Arctic: A wealth of poetic tales and myths, thousands of museum objects, photos, drawings and scientific reports.

We bring it into play in new ways and we invite you along.

The anniversary is marked with a myriad of activities 2021-2024 and you can follow it all on the webpage www.5thule100.dk/
